La Trattoria Pizzeria Il Girasole è una tipica trattoria romana, situata nel pieno centro storico di Roma, nell’antico Rione Monti, a metà strada tra il Colosseo e la Fontana di Trevi entrambe raggiungibili a piedi. Il ristorante dispone di tre sale, di un grazioso giardino interno con gazebo verandato e di un dehor su strada. La particolarità che rende unico questo locale sono le mura settecentesche conservate con i tipici mattoncini romani originali dell’epoca ed il soffitto con travi e tavole di legno a vista. I piatti del nostro menù sono quelli della migliore tradizione culinaria capitolina. Dalla carbonara alla amatriciana, dai tipici saltimbocca alla trippa alla romana, fino ad arrivare ai gustosissimi dolci fatti in casa.
Presso il locale gli amici del titolare si dilettano a suonare il piano dal vivo ogni sera. Il suono avvolgente dello strumento si diffonde dolcemente nell'ambiente, creando un'esperienza unica per i clienti.

This was the highlight of our trip to Rome! We passed the restaurant while spending our final full day exploring the city. An older gentleman was casually playing the piano and we couldn’t help but step inside. As soon as we saw the interior and the menu we thought we must book! We made dinner reservations for that evening and had the most fantastic night. What a special place. Little Italy! The food was authentic Italian cuisine. The service was impeccable. In fact, during the evening it dawned on us that the table next to us had the former US Vice President, John McCain’s wife! We were treated no differently than to her group. If we had stayed another day, we’d be back again there for dinner. A special thank you to the gentleman playing piano.

Our visit to this restaurant finished off our 3 night stay in Rome wonderfully. It was amazing. Everything about it was just perfect; the service, the restaurant ambiance and the food. The lovely gentleman man playing the piano was brilliant too. I cannot rate Il Girasole highly enough. I hope to visit again in the future.

Non è mai semplice scegliere dove mangiare quando non sei nella tua città. Il Girasole è stato una piacevolissima sorpresa. Cibo fresco e buonissimo, sevizio perfetto, posto accogliente , rapporto qualità prezzo veramente ottimo. Quando saremo a a Roma ci ritorneremo sicuramente. Consigliatissimo. Ideale per famiglie che amano mangiare bene .
Non è mai semplice scegliere dove mangiare quando non sei nella tua città. Il Girasole è stato una piacevolissima sorpresa. Cibo fresco e buonissimo, sevizio perfetto, posto accogliente , rapporto qualità prezzo veramente ottimo. Quando saremo a a Roma ci ritorneremo sicuramente. Consigliatissimo. Ideale per famiglie che amano mangiare bene .

We had such a good experience on our first visit we went back the following evening. The food was delicious both times with a number of vegetarian options, the team really welcoming and very efficient in a busy service and the piano music created a lovely atmosphere.

GIVE ALL A BIG TIP BOOK IN ADVANCE TO GUARANTEE A TABLE 🤣 Thank you all . P.S. Sorry we couldn't stop for limanchelo. We had to dash

We ate here twice on a recent short visit to Rome. The food is very good, the staff are friendly and professional and it's really nice to have live music from the pianists. I do recommend booking for the evening.
