Wow! The hotel Porto Roca is truly special! The Cinque Terre are stunning and unforgettable, but even on a rainy weekend in the shoulder season… packed full of day trippers, hikers and tour groups. At certain times and in some places, it felt more crowded than Times Square on a busy day. We were so thankful to be able to get out of the crowds and into the warm and welcoming oasis of the Hotel Porto Roca! The view is spectacular and jaw dropping, the location is perfect with easy trail access, but the team is what truly makes this hotel stand out. Everyone we encountered was wonderful, kind, friendly and warm…. Not one dud in the group. From lovely Isabella at the front desk with amazing restaurant recommendations and reservations-to Mauro the wonderful shuttle driver who drove us up and down the steep hill and even recognized us in town- to the awesome breakfast crew (Albert, Giuseppe and Yanek) who greeted us like old friends everyday at the amazing buffet and made us delicious cappuccinos… we loved returning and being welcomed in. Our room, the public areas, breakfast room and pool/jacuzzi area were kept immaculately clean and everything felt new, fresh and updated. The food was delicious, the lobby bar served tasty drinks with complimentary olives and chips and the housekeeping staff made sure we had dry bathrobes. Not one detail was forgotten! Thanks Hotel Porto Roca for making our Cinque Terre holiday so special and memorable! We can’t wait to return. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nous avons séjourné 2 nuits dans cet hôtel pour visiter les cinque terres. La situation de l’hôtel est idéale, avec une très belle vue. La chambre était spacieuse et propre avec une belle terrasse. Nous avons séjourné 2 nuits dans cet hôtel pour visiter les cinque terres. La situation de l’hôtel est idéale, avec une très belle vue. La chambre était spacieuse et propre avec une belle terrasse. La salle de restaurant mériterait un petit coup de jeune mais l’ensemble est bien entretenu. Le plus est vraiment au niveau des extérieurs avec la piscine, le jacuzzi et le bar donnant sur la mer. Le personnel était très agréable et aux petits soins !

Beautiful views from this hotel. The rooms are on the small side, but you will have a large balcony to enjoy the gorgeous scenery. Very friendly staff and excellent restaurant. It is a bit of a hike to the hotel, but they do offer a free shuttle if you do not feel capable of making the climb.

Porto Roca is probably the best place to stay in Cinque Terre. The setting is on top of a cliff at a location that is right on the trail to the other villages, and the view of Monterosso and the Mediterranean is perfect. Porto Roca is probably the best place to stay in Cinque Terre. The setting is on top of a cliff at a location that is right on the trail to the other villages, and the view of Monterosso and the Mediterranean is perfect. We decided to visit during "shoulder season" so the weather would be cooler for hiking and the crowds wouldn't be so large. Both were true. We did have a couple days with occasional rain, but the sunny days were great to hike the entire trail from Riomaggiore to Monterosso (we trained to Rio to start). The hike is more rigorous than you'd expect, but we did it at age 68! The staff at this hotel was great and helpful, and the restaurant was really good. The waiters were so helpful and congenial. At the desk, we got extra help from Giuliano, who spend an hour with us getting trail passes and train tix. We had a second floor ocean view room (about 500E per night), which was surprisingly basic with no closet (a rod to hang clothes above the side bureau), plastic cups and instant coffee. The worse was our last night when it got windy outside. We were situated below a third floor balcony and the patio furniture and other things blew around above us, making noise all night. Or, it could have been something else going on and we were afraid to ask! Luckily we were up all night so we could leave at 630am to take a train back to Firenze. Overall, this hotel is great if you're specific about room choice, and just what you would want for a visit to Cinque Terre.

Nydeleg frukost med alt ein kan tenkja seg, inkludert ferskpressa appelsinjuice, og ikkje minst nydeleg cappuccino. Ypperleg start på fottur til Vernazza, der hotellet ligg ved starten av stien. Det beste med hotellet var likevel servicen, som var upå...

Ristorante Inqualificabile, cucina da trattoria turistica, servizio pessimo , rapporto qualità prezzo inesistente, quasi impossibile ottenere ricevuta fiscale( solo dopo insistente richiesta rimandati all’hotel) . Totalmente insoddisfatti

La cosa più bella di questa struttura è il panorama ,la vista meravigliosa e da togliere il fiato . La camera piccola, il gabinetto dietro la porta del bagno non permette di aprire la porta se una persona è seduta all interno (altrimenti si rischia di dare un colpo ) Tutto il personale del ristorante meraviglioso ,disponibile, sorridente ,professi...

La cosa più bella di questa struttura è il panorama ,la vista meravigliosa e da togliere il fiato . La camera piccola, il gabinetto dietro la porta del bagno non permette di aprire la porta se una persona è seduta all interno (altrimenti si rischia di dare un colpo ) Tutto il personale del ristorante meraviglioso ,disponibile, sorridente ,professionale e soprattutto compatto davvero un grande gruppo coeso che lavora in modo efficiente per far star bene i clienti dal più giovane al meno giovane tutto il personale è veramente eccezionale ! Peccato non poter dire lo stesso della reception. Esluso Tommaso gentile e garbato . Ho mandato mandato 3 mail prima del mio arrivo che non sono state lette ,avevo inviato i documenti per agevolare il check in ,ma nulla . Ho chiesto di poter visionare il menù cartaceo alla reception mi è stato detto di guardarlo sul sito 😳. Molto scorretto sentir parlare male dei clienti stranieri in italiano fuori luogo vista anche la location . Servizio utilizzo spiaggia ottimo ! Inoltre il servizio navetta è effettuato da taxisti isterici ,nervosi ,che si lamentano continuamente ,che sbattono le valige in malo modo ,non una bella esperienza .

Hotel un po’ datato ma è anche il suo fascino. Vista meravigliosa e servizi ottimi. Colazione e cena serviti su una terrazza con un panorama che toglie il fiato. Piscina molto bella a strapiombo sul mare. Da provare almeno per un weekend.

Se vuoi trascorrere giorni di pace e rilassamento è la location ideale. In occasione di anniversario siamo tornati dopo tanti anni in auesto hotel esclusivo. Reception di eccellenza, attenta e competente. Location in posizione esclusiva arrocata su Monterosso. Camere vista mare ottime con terrazzino con lettini. Arredamento ottimo. Pulito e funzion...

Se vuoi trascorrere giorni di pace e rilassamento è la location ideale. In occasione di anniversario siamo tornati dopo tanti anni in auesto hotel esclusivo. Reception di eccellenza, attenta e competente. Location in posizione esclusiva arrocata su Monterosso. Camere vista mare ottime con terrazzino con lettini. Arredamento ottimo. Pulito e funzionale. Room service ottimo. Colazione e ristorante buono, in terrazze con vista. Servizio di taxi preciso e adeguato dai parcheggi. Utilizzo di piscina e spiaggia inclusi. Personale gentile e professionale. Esperienza sa ripetere.
