What an incredible experience this was! My wife, parents, and I opted for the Gourmet Tour Full Day with the driver picking us up in Bologna and the whole experience was magical, eye-opening, fun, and above all else, TASTY! Both our driver and our tour guide Monica were such sweet and welcoming people who clearly care a great deal about their home and share the passion for the food produced by this special part of the world. Every place we visited was a feast for the senses in addition to being education. A highlight for us was certainly the lunch at a gorgeous countryside farm to table restaurant. The whole experience felt like our own personal episode of "Somebody Feed Phil" and was well worth the price of admission! Don't hesitate to treat yourself to one of Food Valley's fine tours on your trip in Italy :)

We chose The Big Fives private tour and it was the perfect introduction to Emilia-Romagnan cuisine! Our guide, Monica, expertly toured us through the making of parmigiano reggiano cheese, culatello (such a treat!), various wines, and prosciutto before we visited a fifth-generation balsamic vinegar operation on our own. We even got to stop for photo...

We chose The Big Fives private tour and it was the perfect introduction to Emilia-Romagnan cuisine! Our guide, Monica, expertly toured us through the making of parmigiano reggiano cheese, culatello (such a treat!), various wines, and prosciutto before we visited a fifth-generation balsamic vinegar operation on our own. We even got to stop for photos of the impressive Castello di Torrechiara along the way. Monica was excellent, the food was superb, and it was great getting to try so many iconic Parma foods in a single day. Note: Drive times between destinations can be up to an hour, which we didn't mind but can apparently be frustrating for some. We were just excited to see more of Italy!
